David Todd, Artistic Director: David Todd’s plays have been presented or developed in NYC at theaters including 59E59, Dixon Place, the Little Theater, HERE, and NY Theatre Workshop, regionally in DC, Portland, and Chicago, and internationally at the LaMaMa Spoleto Open in Italy. His playwriting residencies include Hangar Theater (Ithaca, NY), Classic Studio (NYC), and Chicago Dramatists. He earned his MFA in Dramatic Writing at NYU (Goldberg Award; Harry Kondoleon Award) and his PhD at the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a faculty member, he has taught writing and literature at NYU, SUNY Stony Brook, and Queens College, and is currently teaching in the NEOMFA writing program at Cleveland State University. He is a Usual Suspect at NY Theater Workshop and a Collaborator with the NYC-based Monk Parrots. His nonfiction book Feeding Back: Conversations with Alternative Guitarists from Proto-Punk to Post-Rock was published in 2012 by Chicago Review Press, and his play Joy in Repetition: A Hauntological Romeo & Juliet was published in January 2014 by Connotation Press. He was awarded an Individual Excellence Award by the Ohio Arts Council for 2016.

Tom Hayes, Managing Director: Tom Hayes is an award-winning playwright whose credits include Only Sing for Me (CSU’s annual play festival, 2005) and The Appalachian Trail  (CSU, 2004), and whose co-writing credits include Know Your Future (Ingenuity Festival, 2008) and Lost Prospect (Ingenuity Festival, 2006). Tom’s A Howl in the Woods was a winning entry in Cleveland Public Theatre’s Little Box competition for 2007, then won the convergence-continuum’s New Plays Competition in 2008. Produced as Lord of the Burgeoning Lumber, the play was named Best Original Script by Rave and Pan. Tom’s MFA thesis play, Patterns, was staged at Cleveland Public Theatre in 2011, and his play Anima Animus was read online via the Ten Minute Play Workshop in 2012, then short-listed for the British Theatre Challenge in 2016. Tom received an Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council for 2020 for his play Concussive Blast. His book Secret of the Warlock’s Crypt was published in 2015. Tom is a librarian at Case Western Reserve University.
