COVID-19 Vaccination & Masking Policies

September 1, 2021

To ensure the safety of all participants in events at Playwrights Local, audience members will be required to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 and to wear masks while inside the venue. To qualify as fully vaccinated, the final dose of an FDA- or WHO-authorized vaccine must have been administered at least 14 days before attending.

Exceptions to the vaccine requirement can be made for children under 12 and attendees with medical conditions or religious beliefs that prevent vaccination. These guests must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time, or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time.

Photos or printed copies of vaccination records and tests will be accepted and matched with government-issued photo IDs.

Face coverings should be proper cloth, surgical/3-ply, KN95, and N95 masks as opposed to bandanas, shields, etc. Free disposable masks will be available at the venue.

Attendees should be aware that all performers, crew, and staff must adhere to the same requirements, with the exception of performers being unmasked while onstage.
